2005 Apr 20 - Fed Cup: Brits defeated 3-0

Great Britain sufferred a straight 3-0 defeat against Slovenia in their opening Fed Cup match in Turkey.

In the singles, Anne Keothavong lost in straight sets to Tina Pisnik 6-3 6-3, then British No.1 Elena Blatacha crashed 6-1 6-1 to Katarina Srebotnik.

Elena Baltacha and Jane O'Donoghue then teamed up in the doubles but were humbled 6-1 6-4 by Andreja Klepac and Tina Krizan.

The defeat now means victories over the two days against Serbia & Montenegro and Denmark are essential if Great Britain have ambitions of qualifying for the World Group play-offs in July.
