2005 Mar 25 - Rusedski defeated by Johansson

Greg Rusedski crashed in straight sets 6-3 6-4 to Swede Thomas Johansson in the second round of the NASDAQ-100 Open in Miami.

In the first set the British No.2 was unable to get his serve going and was broken twice for 6-3.

Greg was unable to make significant headway on the Johansson serve in the second set and was himself broken once - it all the Swede needed to see out the match.

After the match Greg said:

"Neither of us served well. It was just a battle of attrition to try to keep the ball on the court.

"There were some dreadful unforced errors and some good shots - but not too many."
