2005 Mar 13 - Henman cruising in Pacific Open
Tim Henman dropped the opening set before defeating Frenchman Arnaud Clement 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the second round
of the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, USA.
The British No.1 started the match slowly and Arnaud took full advantage by breaking twice to take the first set.
He then took an early break in the second set and was briefly pegged back before breaking the Frenchman a
second time and levelling the match.
There was just the one break early in the third set and it fell the way of
the British master who then held his own serve to see out the match.
After the match, Tim said:
"It was a struggle to find my rhythm in all aspects of my game, I was making so many unforced errors.
"But I had to keep believing I could turn it around and give myself a chance to improve and slowly but
surely did it."
