2005 Feb 04 - Henman back injury reoccurs
Tim Henman has been forced to withdraw from the ATP Open 13 in Marseille, France next week due to suffering
from further back problems.
Speaking on his personal website, Tim said:
"My back didn't react particularly well to my matches in Australia or the flight home, and it's been problematic
ever since.
"Recently it's been really stiff and I haven't been able to train or practice properly, which has been frustrating.
"I've had a couple of consultations with specialists since I first experienced the problem but I felt the time
was right to seek further help.
"I've been told that my condition is basically just down to wear and tear so there's not much I can do in terms
of trying to rectify it completely.
"Unfortunately, given the fact that I haven't been able to train or practice properly I feel it would be foolish
to try and get back on court next week in Marseille."
Provided the injury subsides the British No.1 will be in action again at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament
in Rotterdam, Netherlands on the 14 February.
