2005 Jan 20 - Bogdanovic on Davis Cup
Alex Bogdanovic has moved one step closer to becoming a regular player in the Great Britain Davis Cup team
following the recent retirement of Tim Henman from Davis Cup tennis.
In theory, Greg Rusedski will now lead the British team - unless he decides to follow Tim and concentrate on
the last few years of his singles career. This means at least one of the young guns - Alex Bogdanovic or
Andrew Murray - will definitely be in the starting line-up to face Israel in March.
Alex said:
"The chance to play in the Davis Cup again definitely excites me.
"It's a great chance for the young guys to work hard and fight for the place, which can only be good for Britain.
"We're going to miss Tim a lot because his record in the Davis Cup is awesome, but we are determined to get things
right.
"While Israel is a tough tie we also believe that it is definitely a winnable one."
