2004 Oct 02 - British girls win M.C.Trophy

Great Britain U18 girls comprehensively defeated the United States 7-4 to lift the Maureen Connolly Trophy at the West Hants club in Bournemouth.

Holly Bagshaw remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and secured victory in the final match by turning over US girls No.2 Sarah Fansler 6-3 6-2.

Other results on the final day of play were Katie O-Brien defeating Julia Bone 6-1 6-4 while in the the doubles Julia Bone and Natasha Khan were defeated 6-3 6-4.
