2004 Sep 29 - Parmar defeated by Roddick
British No.3 Arvind Parmar was unable to control the raw power of American Andy Roddick as he
crashed 6-1 6-4 in the Thailand Open, Bangkok.
Arvind was fortunate to have made it into the main draw having lost in qualifying but took the
place of Australian Todd Reid who was forced to withdraw.
After the match a modest A-Rod said:
"The first set went pretty routine but the second was closer.
"But in two of the service games that he held I think I had break points. I'm just happy to get through.
"It's good if your game is in and out and you win one and four."
