2004 Jul 05 - Henman to face Hewitt
Tim Henman is set to face his nemesis Lleyton Hewitt in the third round of the
Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati, USA.
In each of their previous seven meetings it is the Australian who has emerged victorious:
2004 Rotterdam, The Netherlands
2002 Wimbledon, England
2002 Queen's Club, England
2002 Indian Wells TMS, California, USA
2001 Queen's Club, England
2000 Stuttgart Indoor, Germany
2000 Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
Tim's second round match against Moroccan Hicham Arazi finished in the early hours of this
morning so hopefully he will have enough time to recover for the match against Lleyton.
Of the forthcoming match, Tim said:
"My game matches up well against Arazi but my match-up against Hewitt isn't so good
because he likes a target.
"I think in the past I've tried to be too aggressive, I've come forward at every opportunity, and
that plays into his hands.
"I've got to get the balance a little better, be selective but still try to play my game.
"It took me seven attempts to beat Sampras and this is where I beat him, so hopefully history can
repeat itself."
