2004 May 11 - Henman scrapes through in Hamburg
Tim Henman struggled to a 7-5 1-6 6-3 victory over Italian Andreas Seppi in the first round of the
Tennis Masters Hamburg, Germany.
The British No.1 wasn't feeling great and it showed in his play, particularly in the second set where
his game fell apart and looked as if the match was slipping away from him. But in true British Bulldog
style Tim toughed-out the final set and although losing his serve once he was able to break the Italian twice.
In the next round Tim will face the useful Romanian Andrei Pavel who has hit a rich vein of form lately
having reached the quarter-final of the Rome Masters where he defeated Nicolas Lapentti, Lleyton Hewitt and
David Sanchez on the way!
