2004 Jan 06 - Rusedski AAPT rain delay

Greg Rusedski returned to action today in the AAPT Championship - his first match since the Davis Cup tie defeat in Morocco - as he faced the little known Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka in the first round.

Having taken the first set 6-4, the British No.2 then went 3-1 up in the second set and looked well on his way to closing out the match before rain stopped play. Play is scheduled to continue tomorrow.

Hopefully the back problems which have kept Greg out of the game for some 3 months have now subsided to allow for an injury free 2004 campaign.
