2003 Aug 25 - US Open: Rusedski out in 1st Round

Greg Rusedski has fallen in the first round of the US Open to little known Frenchman Gregory Carraz in 5 sets (6-4, 4-6, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4).

A below-par Rusedski struggled with consistency throughout the match, and his first serve percentage was little more than 50%. Carraz, on the other hand, was playing the match of his life and could well be a name to remembember as he undoubtedly climbs the ATP rankings.

All eyes will now be on Tim Henman who is set to face Andy Roddick in the evening session - early hours of the morning UK time - tomorrow night.
