2003 Jun 10 - Baltacha injured before Wimbledon

Elena Baltacha has suffered another injury which threatens her appearance at Wimbledon.

Elena was forced to retire from her singles match against fellow Brot Jane O'Donoghue at Edgbaston due to a hip problem in the third set. The score at the time being 6-7 7-5 1-0.

After the match Elena said:

"I have had this injury before but it doesn't feel as bad as the last time.

"I am determined to be at Wimbedon."
