Tim Henman put his injury worries behind him with victory over Nicolas Lapentti (7-5 4-6 6-1) in Munich at the BMW Open.

Clay has never been a favourite surface for the Brit, but the seventh seed is desperate to desperate to improve his world ranking in order to be seeded for Wimbledon.

A number of shoulder problems this season has resulted in Tim only competing in 5 matches, only 2 of which he has won.
